The paverpol eventually dried and I tried to take it off the chair. It has stuck.. Somehwere and somehow the clingfilm moved and the paverpol stuck to the upholstery. Apart from the damage I have caused, irreversible according to paverpol manufacturers, I have had to rip the sheeting off and ruined the sculpture. I am annoyed at myself for causing the damage, annoyed at ruining the sculpture and now face having no chair for the photoshoot.
Fortunately I have an understanding family who persuade me they never liked the upholstery of the chair anyway and it’s a good excuse to change it. And because it is ruined anyway I might as well try again. So in a frenzy I run to the local hardware shop and get a big polythene sheet to cover the chair and start again.
