This is a flying visit to Edinburgh to watch my daughter’s fiancé graduate from Police college. It’s a huge day for him, to realise his dream at last. It’s freezing in Tulliallan, and we have to stand around outside for 2 hours. It’s worse for the police officers as they are only in their uniforms.
After a celebratory lunch I visit my mother-in-law and mother. The following day I take my mother out to buy new shoes and we end up buying a new chair and a folding walker. Mum is delighted with her new purchases.
